“I believe by collaborating with great people on the Mind, Body & Diet we can help people to achieve their highest performance in work and maximum happiness in life.”

In the past I worked on an awesome transformation project for a client where we saved them shed loads of cash. I really enjoyed the project but left the house at 6:30 for a 90-minute drive, spent the day mostly in meetings, ate good some days and bad others, drove 90 minutes home for 19:00 and collapsed on the sofa for a couple of hours before repeating the next day. You get the picture, everyone in the corporate world does the same at some point in their life. I put weight on, felt tired and lost my mojo.

I’ve done all of this a number of times throughout my working life. Periods of intense work feel great when you are getting great results but, later, when you look back you can’t help but think what a toll that kind of regime has on your mental and physical wellbeing. Back in 2009 I worked myself into such anxiety over performance at work and career development that I actually hospitalised myself with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. There were also life factors at that time, mainly the premature birth of my first child.

Work and Life got me into such a state of anxiety and depression that my body created an inflammatory response. Two years prior to that I was competing in triathlons & time trials and training 6 times a week. The guy I worked for loved a competition at any sport and it worked its way into the working day. I’ve noticed throughout my working life the difference in working for people who do sport and people who don’t.

In 2019 I started an Interim MD role. I took a different approach to the project in 2018. I took up running again and turned vegan-ish (story for another day). Both my performance at work and my happiness with life saw huge improvement.

I’m old enough now to have experienced highs and lows in life and at work. I sat back and reflected, discussed it with peers and friends and connected the dots. Great performance comes from a balanced mind, a physically fit body and a healthy gut.

I started my business because I wanted to build a base to support other people like me. Professionals who want to exceed in business, without burnout and with maximum happiness in life. I believe by collaborating with great people on the Mind, Body & Gut we can help people to achieve their highest performance in work and maximum happiness in life.
